Browsing

Reading room / Open stack room (1F)

You are free to read all the materials inside the rooms. After using, you are requested to put them to the shelf or the return book truck.

Closed stack room (2 & 3F)

When you use materials in the closed stack rooms, please fill out its "call number" by referring to *OPAC or catalogs list and bring it to the circulation desk.
Faculty members and graduate students are able to enter the 2nd & 3rd stack rooms for browsing.

*OPAC is a system for seaching the electronic catalogue of materials held in KCUFS and Kobe Municipal Libraries.

Checking out

For borrowing the books, you should present your "Student ID Card" at the staff in the circulation desk. Reference books and periodicals cannot be taken out.

Circulation

Undergraduate students & Auditors : 10 vols 2 weeks
Graduate students : 20 vols 4 weeks
Faculty members : 30 vols 12 weeks

Please return the materials you borrowed to the circulation desk or put them into the "Book Drop" post located outside the library entrance.
You will be suspended from borrowing and renewing when you return the materials after the due date; You cannot borrow or renew any materials for the same period you have kept them overdue. You can extend your loan period before the due date except when the materials have been reserved by other users.
Special long-term loan is made for vacation time. So, please check the Library Information.

Library staff will answer your individual question about the details of
the materials you are seaching for, or about the publication information
on particular subjects.

For Citizen of Kobe

We are open to those who live or work in Kobe city and above eighteen years old for designated days of year. If you want to use our library, you need to enroll. Please bring ID card that shows you live or work in Kobe city.

Enrollment fee for processing : 500 yen (one year)

For visitors from other universities

If you are a student or a faculty member of other universities, and you want to use our library, please bring a letter of introduction from the university library you belong.
