Based on the knowledge acquired in the undergraduate course, students conduct research from linguistic or literary-cultural aspects. In their language studies, students are expected to focus on written language after the Tang-Song era in addition to modern Chinese, including dialects as their research subjects rather than the classics. Whichever course is chosen, students are expected to take step towards becoming professional Sinologists.
