Students will choose either the Russian language or Russian literature as their specific area of expertise and decide their research topic within that area. Students also need to become familiar with the processes of research development, using Russian to acquire proficiency in the writing of academic papers.

・12 or more credits from the subjects in the major.
・Up to 18 credits of subjects in the majors and common subjects can be counted toward the overall requirements.
・Up to 8 credits of subjects in the Coursework Program General Subjects can be counted toward the overall requirements, but only when a surpervising professor gives special parmission.
