通訳現場の記録（トランスクリプト）を分析すると、通訳者のほんの一瞬の言い淀みや繰り返し、またことばの選択の中に、ある発話によってその場で生じた（と通訳者が受け止めた）意味に対応しようとする姿が見えてきます。通訳とは単なる語句の置き換えではないこと、その奥深さを、ぜひ学生の皆さんと共に探求していきたいと思っています。 My work aims to analyse the realities of dialogue interpreting through detailed transcripts, focusing on how interpreters respond to the meaning which they think is constructed at the time of utterance in the specific context. I hope to demonstrate that interpreting goes beyond a simple relay of words—it is a complex and dynamic social practice.
