SinghIf you are interested in subjects related to environmental studies/issues, I would like to invite you to enroll in my course on environmental issues, which will most probably be offered the following year. Together, we will be exploring a range of topics related to the environment, with a particular focus on waste management and climate. In addition to the course, I also conduct seminars on various topics related to environmental studies. This is a great opportunity to further your understanding of these issues and engage in discussions with other students and experts in the field. We will use a range of teaching methods, including lectures, case studies, and hands-on activities, to deepen our understanding of various topics on environmental studies/issues. By the end of the course, you will have a solid understanding of the key environmental issues discussed in the class and be equipped with the tools to address them. Whether you are interested in pursuing a career in environmental science/studies, or simply want to learn more about these important issues, I believe that this course and seminar will provide you with comprehensive knowledge and skills to solve environmental problems addressing the world. I look forward to exploring these important global issues together.

研究分野 Research Field

My research focuses on developing sustainable waste management practices that can effectively reduce the negative impact of waste on the environment. To achieve this goal, I employ a variety of approaches, including material flow analysis, GIS modeling, and LCA. Additionally, I aim to promote the 3R approach (reduce, reuse, and recycle), minimize open waste burning, increase environmental education and awareness, and address potential health risks associated with waste management.

By pursuing these research objectives, I hope to contribute to global sustainability efforts and support the attainment of the SDGs and Paris Agreement's objectives of limiting the global temperature increase to below 1.5-2°C above pre-industrial levels. Ultimately, my research seeks to provide practical solutions that will enable the world to manage waste effectively while minimizing its environmental impact.

Keywords: waste management, climate, material flow analysis (MFA), life cycle assessment (LCA), circular economy, 3R, health, environmental policy and social system, integrated resource management, scenario design toward sustainable society
