国際関係学科の学生が子ども向け英語アクティビティイベントを実施
2025年9月21日(日曜）、教育とスポーツを推進する民間企業CHEZA（チェザ）が主催する子ども向け教育イベントに、共催者として本学国際関係学科ラジブ・クマル・シン准教授のゼミ（環境研究ゼミ）の学生が参加しました。
このイベントは神戸総合運動公園で開催され、環境に関連するさまざまな交流ゲームを通じて、子どもたちに楽しく魅力的な英語体験を提供することを目的としました。
学生たちはそれぞれペアになり、独自のアクティビティを企画しました。アクティビティはスタンプラリー形式で行われ、参加した子どもたちは各ステーションを巡り、アクティビティを終えるごとにスタンプを集める体験をしました。
企画されたアクティビティは、ごみ分別ゲーム、「何かを見つけよう」ゲーム、学びの１歩はケンケンパ、そして英語クイズの4つで、子どもたちは、年齢に応じて2歳から幼稚園（年少）、幼稚園児（年中）から小学生の２つのグループに分かれて取り組みました。
このイベントに向け、学生たちはCHEZAスタッフと事前に打ち合わせや現地訪問を行い、準備を進めてきました。多くの学生にとって、子ども向けイベントの運営や進行は初めての経験でしたが、緊張しつつも楽しみながら活動に取り組むことができました。
CHEZAのスタッフからは学生たちの取組に対して称賛の声が寄せられ、学生たちの自信にもつながるフィードバックを受けました。
今回参加した学生からは、「またこのような地域イベントに参加したい」との声も聞かれ、英語学習や環境問題を意識した今回の活動は、コミュニケーション能力やリーダーシップスキルの向上にもつながる意義深い機会となりました。
Singh Seminar Students Collaborate with CHEZA for Children's English Activity Event at Kobe Sports Park
On September 21st, 2025, students from the Singh Seminar (Environmental Studies Seminar, KCUFS) actively participated as co-organizers in a children's educational event hosted by CHEZA, a private company promoting education and sports for youth. The event took place at Kobe Sports Park and aimed to provide a fun and engaging English-language experience for children through various interactive games related to Environment.
As part of their contribution, each pair of students designed a unique activity. The activities were conducted in a stamp rally format, allowing participating children to rotate through all stations and collect stamps after completing each activity. The four activities included: Segregation Game, "Let's Find Something" Game, Learning Step by Step, and English Quiz. On the event day, the children joined in two separate sessions according to age: the first part for ages two to preschool junior, and the second part for preschool senior to elementary school students.
To prepare for the event, the students engaged in pre-event planning meetings and site visits with CHEZA staff. For many of the students, it was their first time organizing and facilitating an event for children, and although they felt a bit nervous initially, they quickly adapted and enjoyed the experience.
The CHEZA staff praised the students' efforts, and the positive feedback boosted their confidence. Many students expressed a strong desire to participate again in future community events. This hands-on experience not only enhanced their communication and leadership skills but also served as a meaningful application of their English studies and environmental awareness activities.
