2025年度模擬国連（NMUN）ニューヨーク大会派遣予定の学生が出発前にナイジェリア政府からブリーフィングを受けました！
本学は2025年3月31日（月曜）～4月13日（日曜）の日程で、世界最大規模の模擬国連大会「模擬国連世界大会（National Model United Nations）ニューヨーク大会」へ12名の学生を派遣予定です。
本学学生は、今年の会議ではナイジェリア大使団として参加するため、同国の政治社会経済情勢に関して情報を収集し、決議文に盛り込む政策を準備してまいりました。大使団は3月14日（金曜）、大会に先立ち在京ナイジェリア大使館と在アブ―ジャナイジェリア環境省よりオンラインにてブリーフィングを受けました。
ブリーフィングでは、ナイジェリア政府による経済開発、気候変動、クリーンエネルギー、テロ活動の撲滅、平和構築、教育や若者のエンパワーメント等、多岐にわたるイシューへの最新の取り組みが紹介され、また、マルチラテラリズムにおける外交や交渉の心構えについても丁寧なアドバイスを受けることができました。
ナイジェリア政府の皆さん、この度は素晴らしい学びの機会をいただきありがとうございました。

Kobe City University of Foreign Studies is planning to send twelve students to participate in the National Model United Nations (NMUN) New York Conference, which will be held in New York from Monday, March 31, 2025, to Sunday, April 13, 2025.
This year, our students will be representing the Nigerian delegation, and they have been gathering information on the country's political, social, and economic conditions to prepare policies for inclusion in the UN resolution documents.
On Friday, March 14, ahead of the conference, the delegation received an online briefing from the Nigerian Embassy in Tokyo and the Federal Ministry of Environment in Abuja.
During the briefing, the students were introduced to Nigeria's latest initiatives on economic development, climate change, clean energy, counterterrorism, peacebuilding, education, and youth empowerment. Additionally, they received valuable advice on diplomacy and negotiation strategies within multilateralism.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Nigerian government for providing such an excellent learning opportunity.

模擬国連とは
実際の国連での会議と同様に、参加者が各国代表団としての役割を担い、会議での議論等を通じて現実の国際問題への理解を深めるとともに、交渉力や議論の能力、語学力を含む総合的な国際コミュニケーション能力を高めることを目的とした米国発祥の教育活動です。
模擬国連世界大会（ＮＭＵＮ）
模擬国連世界大会（NMUN）は、世界各地で行われている模擬国連活動の中で最も由緒ある最大規模の大会です。運営本部は米国ニューヨーク市にあり、春季のNY大会に派遣予定です。
